BSOD! Editor's Review

'BSOD!' is a screen-saver that enables a functionality that usually isn't available for Mac users.

I always thought that the BSOD (Blue Screen of Death) is one of the coolest features that are available for Windows users. This program brings the feeling of using Windows XP on Macintosh too.

I have never thought that Mac users envy Windows users, but it appears that BSOD can cause addiction. The Windows development team is probably very happy to hear this.

The package of this software installs the screen-saver in the proper place. All you have to do is to change your screen-saver from your 'System Preferences' panel and enjoy a nice and fresh piece of BSOD.

The software has just a few configuration options such as, if the font should use 'pretty' text and if the BSOD should render on main screen only. In fact, a real Blue Screen doesn't actually need configuration. It just happens. The error is not an option. It comes with the software as an all-in-one package.

Pluses: it enables one of the coolest features of Windows XP right on your Macintosh.

Drawbacks / flaws: it appears this is one of those applications that can cause addiction when it's used frequently.

In conclusion: you might consider yourself lucky since for you the BSOD is optional. If you would like a real one, then Windows XP is required. Anyway, my coworkers staring at my Mac with a BSOD on it, was something that was priceless. Especially their reactions, when they realized the entire thing wasn't real and they got agitated for nothing.
